John Raptis, born in Athens on 22/08/1969, has been active in the field of music as a teacher, guitarist, arranger and composer since 1996.

He started teaching especially electric guitar in jazz-blues-rock forms from 1996 to 2007.

He worked at the PHILIPPOS NAKAS conservatory in the period 2007-2010 teaching jazz guitar, chord lab, improvisation and jazz harmony.

In 2007, his first book was published by ARCO MUSIC under the title “SCALES-CHORDS AND THEIR APPLICATION ON THE GUITAR”.
